K-FLEX® dibenzoate plasticizers and modifiers bring critical performance and value to a wide range of industrial applications. They are REACh registered, non-phthalate solutions, which help formulators to develop desirable performance characteristics. As a result, manufacturers are able to meet all of their needs for excellent performance, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Due to their high compatibility with polar polymers, K-FLEX plasticizers and modifiers achieve excellent performance in applications such as waterborne adhesives, latex caulk, reactive sealants, waterborne coatings, and flexible vinyl.
K-FLEX products are fast-fusing high solvators, resulting in high gelation strength and improved properties in applications such as plastisols such as vinyl flooring, automotive plastisols, vinyl leathercloth/synthetic leather, and vinyl gloves. In melt compounding, K-FLEX improves compatibility of DOTP, closing the performance gap with phthalates.
Kalama also offers Kalama® VITROFLEX® non-phthalate plasticizers, a new polymeric technology from Emerald that is tailored for performance in polysulphide formulations. VITROFLEX plasticizers avoid the regulatory challenges associated with phthalates and chlorinated paraffins. In addition, they are low-VOC and tailored for excellent permanence and low migration, which helps manufacturers to reduce or eliminate fogging.
K-FLEX and Kalama VITROFLEX are registered trademarks of Emerald Kalama Chemical, LLC for its lines of benzoate plasticizers and coalescents. K-FLEX is also a registered trademark of King Industries, Inc. for its line of polyester and urethane polyols and resin modifiers. These marks are not associated with Viking Chemical, ARKEMA, or the VIKOFLEX product line.
