Kalama® Cinnamic Alcohol FCC

Cinnamon, Oriental, Hyacinth-Balsamic Notes

Kalama® Cinnamic Alcohol FCC, also known as cinnamyl alcohol, is an aromatic alcohol and a valuable component in perfume compositions. It adds spicy, oriental notes to foods such as candy, gum and ice cream, to personal care items such as soaps, perfumes, and to household care products, Kalama® Cinnamic Alcohol FCC is a colorless, crystalline solid with a hyacinth-like balsamic odor.

Kalama® Cinnamic Alcohol FCC is also used as a starting material for the synthesis of fragrance compounds, such as cinnamyl acetate, formate, propionate, cinnamate, and several pharmaceutical products.

Cinnamic Alcohol is a FDA GRAS ingredient ( 21 CFR §172.51).
