Purox S is an FDA GRAS food additive, approved for use as an antimicrobial agent, flavoring agent, and adjuvant (21 CFR § 184.1733).

It is authorized for use under ECOCERT COSMOS, EU Ecolabel, and Nordic Swan. It is often used with Kalama Benzyl Alcohol NF/FCC to leverage the ingredients’ natural antimicrobial synergy.
